In this tutorial I'll be demonstrating how you can import and edit SVG files (and other vector formats) with Affinity Designer. This works differently in Affinity than it does in Inkscape and Illustrator because Affinity imports files as embedded documents. Because of this, you won't be able to edit the vector properties of the file without releasing them to individual layers first, which can be frustrating.

Importing DXF Files in Cut2D VCarve and Aspire

In this video, I’ll demonstrate the use of DXF Files in Vectric Cut2D Desktop, Cut2D Pro, VCarve Desktop, VCarve Pro, and Aspire.

I’ll import a DXF file into Aspire, then show you the issues that are inherent in the DXF file format. I’ll explain how CAD software creates the DXF file and show you the issues in NanoCAD software. I’ll then demonstrate the use of the Curve Fit tool, and explain what the options are in that tool. I’ll also put special emphasis on the use of Layers to keep the design organized to avoid confusion. Then I’ll calculate toolpaths and Preview a monogram project.

Then I’ll show you how to import and use multiple DXF files to create a much larger project. Along the way, we’ll resize, copy, fit curves, and move multiple DXF files. Then we’ll calculate toolpaths and preview the project.

Commençons par définir les types de fichiers vectoriels :
.SVG → C’est le format tendance de ces dernières années ! Scalable Vector Graphics (en français « graphique vectoriel adaptable1 »), ou SVG, est un format de données ASCII conçu pour décrire des ensembles de graphiques vectoriels et basé sur XML. En d’autre terme, on peut l’utilisé pour le web. Par exemple, vous allez pouvoir faire des logos responsives sans les convertir en png. Utiliser le svg dans le web, c’est s’assurer que votre graphisme s’adaptera toujours à la taille de l’écran sans jamais se pixeliser !

.EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) → Le format Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) est un format ouvert créé par Adobe Systems en langage PostScript qui permet de décrire des images qui peuvent être constituées d'objets vectoriels ou bitmap.

Dans le milieu professionnel[Lequel ?], le format EPS était[Quand ?] très utilisé car il conserve toutes les qualités vectorielles. Aujourd'hui le format PDF est préféré, plus polyvalent, qui ne nécessite pas l'usage de logiciel payant pour en visualiser le contenu.

.PDF → Portable Document Format, communément abrégé en PDF, est un langage de description de page présenté par la société Adobe Systems en 1992 et qui est devenu une norme ISO en 2008.
La spécificité du PDF est de préserver la mise en page d’un document — polices de caractère, images, objets graphiques, etc. — telle qu'elle a été définie par son auteur, et cela quels que soient le logiciel, le système d'exploitation et l'ordinateur utilisés pour l’imprimer ou le visualiser.

.AI → Développé il y a 34 ans, 1987, par Adobe Systeme, Il est massivement utilisé dans l’industrie graphique il conserve aussi bien le propriétés vectoriel que d’image et de texte. Il peut être utilisé indépendamment ou en complément de Photoshop, et offre des outils de dessin vectoriel puissants. Les images vectorielles sont constituées de courbes générées par des formules mathématiques.

Il y en a bien d'autre comme le dxf, le dwg, le coreldraw... Mais avouez que ces 4 là son hyper populaire non ? Bon oui le dxf et le dwg sont hyper populaires aussi :)
