My 15 year old self was obsessed with tattoos, and my favorite band (at the time) was AFI. I promised myself I would get an AFI tattoo when I grew up. I no longer listen to their music, but I still wanted to keep this promise to my teenage self. This is my 9th stick'n'poke tattoo, the 8th on my own self. Goal is to have 12 completed self tattoos by the end of 2021. 🤞

At, like, 4:10 I say I clean my needles "every 3-5 passes" but what I mean is ever 3-5 dips in the ink; Felt I needed to clarify that. I have a cup of distilled water I swish in, and then I saturate with green on a paper towel. My needles feel like they aren't really holding ink after an hour or so. Not certain if this is due to needle quality or from poor needle maintenance and cleaning. 🤷

Filling in some of my handpoked projects, the A Fire Inside candle and Chaos Star, with a homemade grey wash.
I use the large 24mm tall cups for these two projects. The number of drops will have change in the future when I use more conventional ink cup sizes; Will share my methods soon (as the wizard still needs shading).
