Some issues I have been dealing with as a Careerfoundry UX Design student. I am currently on Achievement 4.5 in the UX Immersion Course.

Issues I discuss:

- Too many filler assignments that drag out the course
- Outdated reading material; no introduction to industry standard tools such as Figma
- No guidance when it comes to designing and UI, only brief reading on these topics
- Backwards learning and inefficient structure

Hello ello. I recently completed my 11 month UX Design bootcamp with CareerFoundry and thought I'd share my experience with the internet.

CareerFoundry is basically an online school aimed at job/career changers and the intention is that through practical project based application you build from scratch the soft and technical skills required to land a job in tech (UX Design in my case).

It has been a really interesting 11 months and I remembered at the time of deciding whether or not to go with CareerFoundry, I couldn't find much information about other students experiences so I'm hoping this helps at least one person out there.

There are some questions that entry and junior level UX designers and researchers ask repetitively. One of these is definitely to do with the recent boom in UX and product design bootcamps. These intensive courses offer to teach UX as a craft in a matter of weeks. Some also assure that every graduate will get a paid UX job immediately. But given that almost all job ads quote 3 years of experience for junior positions, how much of it is true? Having reviewed countless candidates that have listed these bootcamps as their primary source of education in design I have formed an opinion that might help you decide if it's worth the time and money investment.

While they don't have instructors, it sounds like they have mentors and tutors to help you along the way. This is another coding bootcamp that offers a "job guarantee". Hello, ello

It's your favourite "recent" UX design bootcamp graduate back with an update about my stance on UX design roles. As you can see from the title, I've basically turned my back on UX design after completing an intense eleven month bootcamp to become certified on the subject. Check out the video to understand my reasoning.

I'm hoping this video will help someone else trying to decide between the two paths (Product Owner vs UX Designer) and will also give some honest insight into UX design in the real working world - compared to how its taught in bootcamps and online.
