In this tutorial we are going to teach how to draw the kitchen of my house and assembly furniture on it using freecad.

This Tutorial uses the Arch Workbench. It is the approach I am using to get a decent result with minimal frustration. I am not an Architect, Engineer or Building. So it is probably wrong in many ways, just an attempt to help get passed the FreeCAD learning curve. Hope it helps!

A well articulated and elaborate freecad 2d drawing tutorial to showcase freecad 2d drawing plan capabilities. Creating a 2d Architectural plan in freecad should be a breeze if you come from a traditional autocad 2d drawing workflow. Also tutorial presents the best approach to creating a 2d cad drawing plan, with (stress) a free 2d and open source cad software, since freecad has it's unique way of thinking when it comes to how you go about creating 2d plan in freecad. It's basically it's own animal.

Some considerations when creating a 2d plan in freecad should be to use the 'Part workbench - Part(menu) - Compound - "make compound tool. It is highly effective at controlling too many objects and works as an editable group tool similar to sketchup and revit.

A coffee table concept. Not too complicated, and not all connections are included, but for our learning, it'll do it's purpose.

I may add more to it, if i find any point necessary to explain further.
For now, i'll add most used shortkeys, they are available along the video, but i'll add them here as well:
H - straighten line, horizontally
V - straighten line, vertically
Shift+H - horizontal distance
Shift+V - vertical distance
T - tangent constraint
C - coincident constraint, merging two points, in other words
E - equal constraint, make two object share the same rule
L - create line (sketch)
Shift+O - fix the point to the given line
SPACE bar - hide the parts, within the tree panel

It's a simple design, simple shapes, and even simpler to, actually, make.
Again, throughout the tutorial, i've used shortcuts pretty much, and shortcuts tutorial will be uploaded soon.
As previous model, this is, too, simple, or straight forward, modeling and assembling. At this point i have to mention, that more complicated table designs will be in future. I'll do my best to upload some table tutorials that have mechanisms, as well.

Update_01:
I understand that it is hard to learn without instruction, i'll do my best to update all of these tutorials with captions, at least what i can do at the moment.
For the next series, i'll change that, and will be easier to learn.
At least that i can help with, for now, is to share the file, it's been a while since i uploaded these tutorials, please note that file has been made with the 0.16 version. Now is 0.18 version active.

Once again #freecad is at the rendez-vous showcasing it's hidden abilities to create kitchen cabinets in a parametric way which can easily be updated based on one single sketch. The sketch can be linked to the wall, this allows to look the base cab model to the wall, where it is just then aligned into the right direction. This is indeed a very powerful feature that freecad brings on to the table. Ofcourse freecad doesn't have initial built in tools for this kind of modeling however, currently the basics capabilities allows us to reach a decent level of control.
Something to note and remember is that this tutorial attempts to use the less amount of possible steps required to create a fully parametric object. That being said, you can model to the exact detail a cabinetry in freecad. And even increase the complexity of this model a step further with booleans and other complex operations, just be weiry about upload speeds at that point, would be my general advice.

Truck camper RV design tutorial using CAD tool (FreeCAD) - 360 view, interior space design, aerodynamics and blueprint in 2D and 3D.
This is the only YouTube tutorial video to show you how to design your RV or teardrop or truck camper using free Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to design your build and show it in 360 degrees views. I can even design where I want to place the stove, RV windows, door, desk, storage, bed, shower, and window AC, etc. even exterior color and graphics to choose and visualize to show friends and brag about it before actual build. Truck camper walls (panels) design with aluminum 040 sheet (0.04” or 1 mm thickness) skin (4' by 8' sheet) riveted to square aluminum tubes (1.5” square tube with 1/8” or 0.125” thickness or 3.2 mm). The rivets need to bind/grip (0.165” = 0.125"+0.04" or 4.2 mm = 3.2+1 mm).
Aluminum panel layers: (1) aluminum 040 skin, (2) Foamular 150 (1.5" 4' by 8' foam board insulation with R-value of 7.5), (3) 1/4" May plywood covering the insulation and aluminum frame for interior wall with sika glue or Loctite glue.

Best aerodynamics aluminum truck camper (round shape of front bed area) - bending 1.5" aluminum square tubes, weld aluminum skin to aluminum tubes. 360 view
The front will be the most difficult part to build. 1.5" aluminum square tubes are not easy to bend. Follow along and see how I bend them without expensive hydraulic machine. Simply doing it by hand with a torch of course to soften the tubes.
My aluminum truck camper re-design for better fuel efficiency - better aerodynamics (2 of 3)
My camper 1.0 had a square front, camper 2.0 had a tapered front, camper 3.0 will have a curved front, so I will bend my 1,5" square aluminum tube and weld the aluminum metal skins into the square tube to form a nice curve.
I am using Free software FreeCAD 0.18 version Pocket function to create the tapered front. I will be using Fillet function to create the curved front.
The 3d blueprint software is the free software version 0.18. FreeCAD is totally free. I used "Draft" function to create the frames so I can number the tubes and save them for future reference if I need to build it for others. Subscribe and notify me if you want to get a copy of the blueprint to customize it for you own build.
My next project (video) is I am welding a DIY truck bed rack (recycled from a Futon bed) to carry the aluminum tubes from store. I can also use it to carry kayay or canoe with my tailgate up and closed if I have to or anything longer than my 6.5 feet long truck bed.
