Full Sail University Game Development graduate Kevin McCorkle and Game Design Master's grad Lindley Joyner created the game 'Sugar Rush' for their Final Project.

Sugar Rush is a moderately paced third person action adventure game that takes place in Sweetopia. As the hero, the player journeys through the Sweet Forest, Candy Town, and the Gumdrop Meadows to liberate these areas from the diabolical dentist and their army of vegetables that have taken over.

Entertainment production company Rooster Teeth teamed up with Full Sail University to give students and grads an opportunity to join RTX, the Rooster Teeth Gaming Convention, where they can showcase their very own game.

But before they get to the convention, they need to create a fully functioning arcade game from start to finish. Think they can make it? Follow along with their journey, starting at the very beginning – conceptualizing the game.

In this episode, we meet gaming industry professionals Jason Hinders and Patrick Kelly who are overseeing a team of students as they work to create an 80s beat-down style arcade game called 'Fury Strike'. Together, they discuss the initial concept that often comes from one idea, and the various responsibilities each team member must undertake to fully flesh out the idea into a playable game.
