Game Narrative Designer
As narrative designer you’ll be using your writing skills to bring the right themes and plot points to life, across many elements of a game. That doesn’t just mean polishing the dialogue. You could help the game designers shape better characters and scenarios. Partner with game designers to create new methods of generating narrative through game mechanics and help drive the vision for world spaces, ecologies, and theming of game systems. There are two main paths to becoming a game narrative designer. Both start with becoming very good at creative writing. Christy marx got the opportunity to design narrative games. Don’t begin with the narrative, all the time i’ve come across young designers who have a wonderful tale in mind that they want to create their game on.
