In this video I will show you how to make your first piece of jewelry, which will be a solid 14K yellow gold. It is very easy to start a jewelry business, anyone can do it. You do not need any special licenses or anything like that.

This #shorts video shows a quick breakdown of cost and price for bread and butter pieces every jewelry designer/seller should have.  Bread and butter meaning that they are the ones that pay the rent; they are not display pieces, but the ones that you sell over and over again, that will give you steady income.  They're easy to produce, make the business profitable, and items that you should inventory.

The simple necklace I made took less than 30 seconds to assemble and here are the costs (at the time of filming and I will include product code you can search up on my website):
30mm soldered ring 925 silver - $4.96 ea (FN195)
Box Chain 18" 925 silver made in Italy - $4.57 ea (CF17S)
5mm jumpring 925 silver - $0.29 ea (FJ0FS)
Total cost (including labour) $11 for the finished necklace

Selling prices:
If direct (craft market/direct selling/Etsy), you can sell it lower at $40 for volume sales (almost 4x markup).
If wholesale, can sell for $20-$25 (100% markup), and then they retail for about $45-$50 (the industry word is keystone).
