HOW I REVIEW:

As you might know from my „How I make a buying decision“ video: Rather than just looking at the pros, I like to evaluate the cons or flaws of an item and then evaluate if I can live with them. That is why in my video reviews I concentrate more on the cons of an item rather than going over all the features. Therefore everything shown is just a fraction of all the points that go into the verdict and score of an item.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A QUICKLOOK AND A REVIEW:

A Quicklook usually covers pre-production units or items that I only used for a short period of time. While Reviews cover final items that I have reviewed intensively.

For all my videos I decided not to include links for the products. Everyone is living in different countries and therefore has to deal with different shipping and customs fees. That is why I would advice everyone just to Google the product within their country to find the best deals.

I was looking for something in which I could comfortably carry my laptop, a few other small electronics, and have enough room left over to fit a change of clothes while still looking look good. After a month of use I can say that in my opinion this would make for a good bag for anyone undertaking a long trip or works remotely.

In this review we’re taking a look at the Topo Designs Daypack. It’s an outdoorsy looking, traditional-style backpack that has both feet firmly planted in the modern world, with its bright designs and fluorescent lining.

We found this pack to be ideal for running errands around a city throughout the day, which is exactly what we did for two months in and around Detroit during testing. And while not designed specifically as a daypack for longer trips, it does pack flat—meaning it can be stored nicely in your larger backpack if you want bring it along on your extended travels.

At the time of this review we’ve been testing the Topo Designs Daypack for about two months in our daily movements around Detroit. We can say with confidence that it’s really well put together and we don’t see it failing any time soon. The materials chosen by Topo are high quality and strong, plus there’s that reliable USA craftsmanship holding it all together. This as a solid little pack that you can rely on for daily use around the city or as a daypack to bring along on your next extended travel.

Overall the Topo Designs Daypack is a great little pack that’s good for buzzing around the city or laying flat in a larger travel bag for day trips when you get to your destination.

The materials chosen are durable, and the external and internal features come together well to create a good daypack experience. On top of that, we appreciate the options for clipping gear to the exterior, and the high-visibility liner makes finding your gear inside that little bit easier. Despite our minor nitpicks, it’s a great choice for a heritage-style daypack that’s built to last.
